Hey Dolls~I hope you all had a lovely weekend.Just before the end of 2012,I made a little promise to myself to step out of my comfort zone and try different things I won’t normally go for beauty-wise.That decision was what actually inspired my “Rock The Red Lips” post since I thought it’ll be helpful to anyone who wishes to try the red lips and for those wanting to switch up their beauty routine. So with that in mind,I sought out to try some nude and red lipsticks.
Now if you follow my blog, you know I mostly wear baby pink lipsticks so I started slowly by trying the lip butters which are mostly sheer with bit of colour to them.I wasn’t super crazy about these lip butters when they first came out to be honest but I think I have a new found love for them now.
Revlon Lip Butter in Gumdrop:I like the lip butters from Revlon the most. They’re like lipglosses in lipstick form if that makes sense. They give a nice shine and keep your lips moisturized.I love the colour Gumdrop the most since the shade is right up my alley.
Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee:is a sheer nude lipstick that you can build up for some colour pay-off.It doesn’t stay long on the lips but it’s creamy and looks nice on so I just carry in my on -the-go makeup bag for touch ups.
Loreal Colour Riche Balm in Caramel Comfort:This tan shade “balm”goes on super sheer and has tiny flecs of shimmer which hardly shows up on skin.Compared to the Revlon Lip butters, the colour pay off is not as great but this is even more moisturizing and has SPF 15.The Loreal balms smell really good and the packaging is cuter and better than the Revlon lip butters.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Mink: it’s like the perfect everyday nude lipstick!I can see this shade working on both fair to medium to dark skin tones.I absolutely love the colour and it’s very pigmented and lasts long on your lips.It doesn’t dry out your lips either so thumbs up!
WetnWild 552A Lipstick is such a flattering fuschia red lipstick.I got it for a dollar and some change but it’s amazing and works just as good as a high-end lippie.Another great shade that will work on most skin tones.
I hope you enjoyed this post=)
Doll Notes:Have you tried any of these lipsticks? What are your thoughts?

Hi,
I always enjoy your website and your facebook page and I was just wondering if you could tell me of a really good liquid eyeliner. I always line under my eyes but I wanna start trying to line the upper eye instead. I’ve never done it before. I want something that will go on smooth and not alot of tug and I want something that will stay a true black and waterproof would be a bonus.
Thank you so much,
Melissa from Kingfisher, Oklahoma
Thanks for the sweet comment Melissa! I’m glad you enjoy this blog and find it useful.I’ll like to recommend Stila-Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. It stays on very well and it’s easy to apply. You can get it @ Sephora.
