Heyyy beauties! Here we go again with another monthly faves.WOW!Where did the month go?Like seriously…..It feels like January was just yesterday and the next thing I know,we are already at the end of Feb….Crazy huh!Anyway,I love doing monthly faves(so much fun)and showing you guys what fab products I’ve tried so far. There’s just something exciting about discovering and trying new products I can’t explain but I know my fellow beauty fanatics know exactly what I mean……LOL.Lets jump right in, shall we?
Lise Watier 24 Hrs Glam Mascara:So over the holidays,I got one of those mascara sample set where you get sample size of different mascaras to try and you return your certificate for a full-sized mascara of the one you liked the most. This mascara was included in my kit and was my fave among the bunch.I’m really glad I went with this because although it doesn’t give much volume, the spiky-looking brush sorta “lifts” the lashes and separates well.I would classify it a good natural-looking mascara. Can we also take a sec to talk about the packaging?Very eye-catching I know! Can’t go wrong with that◔◡◔ You can order the mascara here.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Nude Lustre:Revlon did good with the super lustrous glosses. At $6.00 each, they are a bargain,do stay on well and gives good color payoff.I currently own 5 of the shades and I’m totally hooked.(See swatches of 3 of the shades HERE)Seriously though,if you haven’t tried one of these glosses, you are SO missing out!I like to wear this peachy nude gloss on its own when I’m feeling lazy but want a pop of color on my lips or some days I layer over my bright lippies. It also makes a perfect everyday nude color.
CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Spellbound:(See Swatch Below):Ah!Another lipstick I picked out on a whim while wandering down the beauty aisle as usual.(^_^) This is my second lipstick from CoverGirl and I’m starting to love this line of lipsticks.(I talked about CoverGirl’s Divine in my 10 best Drugstore Lipsticks)Nearly anyone can pull off this creamy blue-based pink lipstick.I think it looks much prettier paired with a sheer gloss and it stays on for nearly 4 hours which isn’t bad at all.One thing I noticed is they kind of stain your lips after they wear off so you’re still left with some color which is pretty cool.Don’t pass these lipsticks up ladies, not only are they fantastic but there’s a shade and color for everyone!
Maybelline Color Whisper in Oh La Lilac:The color whisper lipsticks from Maybelline is fairly new but so far, there’s been nothing but rave reviews on them. They go on quite sheer but you can layer on for more color payoff. They are quite similar to Revlon lip butters but I prefer the formula of ‘Whisper’ more as they feel lighter and much more softer on the lips.I’d say they are almost like a lipstick and gloss bunched up together.I picked out 4 of the colours from the collection but Oh La Lilac turned out to be my favorite.Looks so pretty paired with a magenta liner.
TIP:You can also layer these lipsticks over matte lipsticks to give you a bit of a glossy finish/creamy look and to keep your lips from getting too dry.
Covergirl+Olay Concealer Balm in Medium\Deep: Wow!What a great drugstore concealer!I admit when I first put this on,I expected it to crease like crazy on me but it totally proved me wrong. This stuff is rich & creamy, glides on like butter and gave me a smooth and flawless finish.Ohh..and it doesn’t smudge.Shame on me for jumping to conclusions!Coverage is medium to full depending on how you apply. It has excellent staying power as a high-end concealer and will cover up dark-circles.I guess it’s safe to say this is probably my fave drugstore concealer as all the other drugstore concealers I’ve tried have been such a huge disappointment not to mention how most of the cosmetic companies “FORGET” to come out with darker shades for women of color.Anyways,so far so pleased.
E.l.f All Over Color Stick in Toasted:(See pic at the bottom of post)This multipurpose stick works wonders and its only a freakin’ $1.00!!I use this to mainly highlight my cheekbones and it gives such a nice glow you’re left wondering how and why its only a dollar! It looks like an expensive highlighter on the skin! It comes in a twist up tube which makes it easy to use and carry around for touch ups.Blending is effortless(I like to use my fingers)and I like that its not too shimmery because I wouldn’t wanna walk around looking like a disco ball. You can also use this on your eyes, nose, brow bone, lips etc. This little babe will look radiant on medium to dark skin tones. You can order this off the E.L.F Website
Tarte Amazonian 12-hour Clay Blush in Flush: This is my first blush from Tarte and it really lives up to the hype.I’m in love with this blush and officially declare it my most fave product of the month. This looks so beautiful on the cheeks, blends effortlessly and theres no fallouts at all!I cannot wait to tryout some of the other shades when I go to Sephora next month. It is on the pricy side but it lasts a long time so you get what you pay for.I doubt it stays on for 12 hours as it begins to fade after about 4-5 hrs.All in all, its a great product and a great blush.Look how pigmented it looks in the pan!Score!
MAC Lustre Drops in Sun Rush:A late purchase but one that I definitely had to include in my Feb Faves.I don’t know what it is but I think I’m going through a highlighting/face-glow phase because I’ve been going nuts purchasing highlighters lately-eek.This has a become a staple in my foundation routine now.I use a drop of this with my(liquid)foundation for a nice and perfect all over glow. This product is like a liquid bronzer but very dewy and just gives a nice shimmery finish that doesn’t look over the top. Will surely buy this again if and when I ever run out!
Doll Notes:Have you tried any of these products?Thoughts?? What have you been loving lately?!
